I'm New

Hi, my name is Lori and I live in Canada. Northern British Columbia to be exact. I am a newby when it comes to Bonanza as my first time seeing it was about 6 months ago. I am a Adam/Pernell Roberts fan, but I love all the Cartwrights. I will admit I have only seen the first 6 seasons. I am going to try watching the rest.

Hi, McHopper!   Always happy to hear that a new person has discovered the joys of Bonanza! 

 

I'll reiterate what BluewindFarm mentioned above about the fanfiction library here. When I was brand new to online Bonanza sites, it was several months before I looked into the fanfic libraries. This is going to sound pretty silly, but I honestly had no idea what fan fiction was. So I asked someone what the fan fiction library was, and when they told me it was stories written by fans about Bonanza, I still wasn't interested, because I thought, "Oh, gosh, that has to be awful." (Not only was I a newbie, I was a clueless newbie.) A couple more months went by, and finally, on a slow afternoon, I tiptoed in to see what the fuss was about. Oh, wow, what a discovery! I found writers there that could hold their own against writers selling novels. In those early days I devoured every story that was posted. It was such a fun way to "see" new Bonanza episodes, or to delve deeper into actual televised episodes. 

 

There are hundreds of other entertainments here, of course, but I always like to tell people about the fan fiction so they don't miss out like I almost did, lol.

I also accidentally stumbled across the fanfiction stories here a few months ago. I didn't know that something like ff Ssories even existed and was pleasantly surprised by it. There is something for every taste!
