Hello to everyone here. I live in Iowa (midwest USA) and grew up on a farm (we had cattle, but no horses). I was a kid during the heyday of TV westerns, and wanting to reconnect with an old favorite, decided this summer to try to watch all 400-some episodes of Bonanza. So far I've seen most of seasons 1-2, and 12-13 (which is what the ME-TV channel has been showing), and sometimes look up other specific episodes on YouTube. Anyway, there's a long way to go to see them all, but no hurry. Also like to read fan fiction, so here I am. Thank you for welcoming me to Bonanza Brand.

Hello everyone! I've just joined and am trying to work out how everything works! I expect I'll get there in the end

Just got back and my muse checked into the hotel to get some rest. It only took her a couple of days to write the story I just posted in the WIP forum. Then she tackled a couple of the long stories we started a while back and got no where with them. So, she's resting and going to work on them when she's ready to try again. I see I have a lot to catch up on. So, will do that over the weekend.

No, not an actual vacation. My muse is trying to write a couple of stories, one centering around Hop Sing. Will be gone for a few days to give it time to work them out. And some of you know that they'll either have a twist or not. 🙃

CareBear is a nickname given to me by friends (a play on Carrie) and here I am also among friends with other Bonanza fans. Hi Bonanza/AdamGals, I was feeling very down last week, but watching episodes from seasons 1-6 really cheered me up. I love whole family episodes like The Rescue and Bank Run. What are some other classic episodes that will cheer one's mood?

I'm a long time skulker, recently joined poster. I have been wondering for years what all the acronyms and lingo mean. Some I have figured out, such as WHN is what happened next and WHIB is what happened in between. But what are things like "SJS" or "JPM" or things like that? And what is slash? It seems to be something between two canon characters that didn't exist in canon? Can someone fill me in on these things? Thanks!

Hey fellow Bonanza fans! I just thought I'd introduce myself as I recently joined. I am a big fan of Bonanza and have been for over three years now. I started the show around 2021. I was already a Michael Landon fan so he really was the only reason I was even interested in the show, but then I ended up loving the show and the other characters. I consider myself a Joe, Hoss and Candy fan but I really love all the Cartwright's. I can't wait to join in the discussions. I've also written a lot of fanfiction stories of the show as well. They mainly continue on with the concept of Joe marrying Alice in Forever but if she and the baby had lived.

Hello to everyone. I am happy to have found this site, and I thank you again for the kind help. So far I have read a lot to get a first overview. Very interesting and informative. As a child, I watched a few Bonanza episodes on German TV. Even then, I liked the character of Adam and the actor PR. For many years, I didn't have a chance to see more episodes until I could buy the complete box of DVDs. Best regards matty

Yesterday, Thursday, I posted in Washoe Diggings about early spring signs and couldn't find my post. I included a pic of a dandelion that I took last week. I've written more short stories, but I won't be sharing them, as they probably won't be seen by anyone. I've been here a couple of weeks and figure I should introduce myself ... My first memory of Pernell Roberts was on Trapper John M.D. when it originally aired. I'm now about the same age as he was at that time. I didn't discover Bonanza until circa 2002, when I was about the same age as Pernell was in the show. I was quite shocked to find out that sexy Adam was played by the same "old man" from my childhood. Now, over 20 years later, I am rewatching Bonanza. Plus, I have found fan fiction.
