February 1Feb 1 comment_1031694 Anyone else notice this:Claire shows the picture of Marie to Joe and asks if she was his mother. He said yes. Then she mentions that he was probably quite young when she died. He said yes and that she died right after he was born. In other episodes that mentioned the death of Marie, Joe was either 4 or 5 years old when she died. Marie's picture was the only one of Ben's three wives on the desk. What happened to the pictures of Elizabeth and Inger? Report
February 1Feb 1 comment_1031708 Yeah, he says that in The Oath too, that he was just a baby when she died and that he "never even knew her"! 🙄 What's funny is that Charlie 2 even contradicts himself in that ep. He tells Joe he was just a baby when his mother died but later, when his dad asks him if he remembers what it was like when she was there, he tells him, "yeah, I remember"! 😄 Report
February 1Feb 1 Author comment_1031710 I never noticed it when I watched The Oath. I'll have to watch it again. Report
February 2Feb 2 comment_1031716 I caught that too in Her Brother's Keeper. Since there no episode/character facts (the show's bible in today's world) kept during the 60's TV shows, I'm guessing it was up to the writer what facts they wanted to put into it. Report
February 2Feb 2 comment_1031726 In The Beginning, talking about what Billy learned from his mother, Joe says, “I can remember my mother teaching me some of the same things”. 😂 Report
February 2Feb 2 comment_1031733 I just choose to believe that Marie was around for four or five years to enjoy her precious son and family life on the ranch. In The Frenchman all three portraits of the wives are on Ben’s desk and Francois attempts to make off with them. Like other things, guess it’s the discretion of the writer as to how and when they’re portrayed. Report
