December 17, 2025Dec 17 comment_1029953 Many have mentioned Dan's affinity for kids and how well he worked wth them (we'll ignore the fact that he often called them by their real name instead of their character name because he did the same with Mike ๐). With so many to choose from, which episode is your favorite and why? Report
December 18, 2025Dec 18 comment_1030024 I love "Feet Of Clay". A favorite scene is when Billy cuts his thumb with the knife. Hoss doesn't make a big deal of it, just offers to talk to Hop Sing for him.Hoss understood kids. He would have been a great father. Report
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Author comment_1030026 โLittle Girl Lostโ is my favorite. She is so sweet and vulnerable and Hoss just swallows her up whole to protect her with his own being. Report
December 18, 2025Dec 18 comment_1030030 I love them all but Tommy is a favorite as Hoss uses gentleness and patience to befriend Tommy, build trust and get him talking. That little boy was so darn cute!! Report
December 19, 2025Dec 19 comment_1030054 I don't think there is an episode of Hoss with kids that I don't like. Tommy is a special favorite, as is Found Child. Little bitty Lisa is such a sweetheart and he was a huge champion for her. A Dream to Dream is also a wonderful episode. He reads them stories on his knee!Tommy though, as I said, is a special favorite. Probably the favorite of them all. The way he was able to connect with Tommy was so special. Report
December 19, 2025Dec 19 comment_1030091 Darn, I missed the post, but Found Child definitely comes to mind. It's one of my favorite episodes of season 7. I adored Hoss's relationship with Lisa. Tommy is another great one I love. Hoss was the best with children. ๐ฅน Report
December 20, 2025Dec 20 comment_1030140 Feet of Clay is one of my top episodes. There are so many fun scenes (like the fishing one) between Hoss and Billy, and Blockerโs performance is so devastating when Billy turns on him after his fatherโs death. They did a lot of โson of someone the Cartwrights killed hates themโ storylines, but this is by far and away my favorite. Report
December 26, 2025Dec 26 comment_1030435 "Little Girl Lost" is a sweet episode, this little girl had a lot to prove : "I'm a boy and I hate you"... Report
December 26, 2025Dec 26 comment_1030442 She sure was a challenge for the Cartwright and especially after all he wasn't used to deal with charming little girls but concerning temperament, she sure is a Cartwright, no doubt about it. I wish, we could have in this episode. Report

December 27, 2025Dec 27 comment_1030483 Speaking of Little Girl Lost, I think I just got inspired for my next Candy POD. He and Sam had a very interesting and adorable relationship in that episode. (I know this was a Hoss/Dan thread, but thank you @mumu74 for the inspiration, haha.) Report

This little girl was cute and it was difficult to resist her. I didn't understand, why Ben had kept laughing while she was rebelling againt Hop Sing. I can understand that from Hoss and Joe but not from Ben. Report

One day he's laughing and the day after he spanks her, he shouldn't have laughed and he should have given support to the poor Hop Sing Report
December 28, 2025Dec 28 comment_1030496 It's never been one of my favorite episodes because she is so out of control and the adults can't seem to stop her. The C's, especially Ben are out of character in this one. Report

Sam does begin to soften a bit and there are some adorable scenes with her, particularly with Candy. Report
