After the recent update/upgrade, if members find themselves logged out of the Forums, the system will require the registered email address instead of a username when logging in.

The Login screen will remind members of this.

I haven't been around much in the last week or so, so I was surprised to see the new login that required my email instead of my username.

But once I put in my email, it logged me in. 🦋

This change happened yesterday when Brand came back online after the site was updated and upgraded.

@Heather-Chrysalis please check the Advent Sign-in Forum for several special messages to you.

I think I'm in trouble. I tried to log in to WordPress, but it used my WWB account, as there didn't appear to be any for Brand, and it gave me a PM I'd never seen before, but all the ones that were there before are not there. I really need to get in to retrieve some info about Advent calendar, so if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Word Press is the program for the Library, and there are no PMs in the Library. Logging into the Library should be your username (not e;mail address) and your password.

You're logged into the Forums, so your PMs should still be there. Note, after the upgrade, if using a Mobile device, the PM icon (envelope) appears at the bottom of the screen.

Icons for the following should be listed:

Unread Content Notifications Messages Search Menu

We do have a poll asking if members would prefer these Icons at the top or the bottom of the screen.

Thanks, BWF! I am, indeed, a tech dunderhead. I was, looking in the wrong place for what I need, but I do still have a probem with messages on the forum. I need to consult the message Faust sent me with my Advent story info, and it's just not there. (The one from last year is, but not the current one.) Perhaps I could just message her again and have her resend it, now that I have found the message box.

No such thing as a tech dunderhead! It's easy to forget that the Forums and the Library are different programs. And with the recent upgrade to the Forums, not everything is where they originally were.

Actually, I found it! So, I won't have to bother her. And you're right: I had forgotten they were separate programs, even though I knew I had separate passwords for each. I was just messed up. I kept hitting the little bell in the Library, looking for what wasn't there to begin with. So sorry! And so grateful for you!
