September 19, 2025Sep 19 comment_1025652 For those in the United States who are missing Bonanza and other classic westerns, there is a new frontier coming to town... I mean the airwaves. WEST channel (Western Entertainment Series Television - check your local TV substations, a sister station to MeTV) will officially launch on September 29th. I've already re-scanned my TV and found it. I don't know what cable/satellite stations will choose to broadcast it. Right now, it is airing a continuous loop (think commercial) announcing it is coming. WEST <- check out the link for a partial listing of programs and how they will be broadcast. I've not been able to find schedule but presume one will be published closer to its 'go-live' date. Report

September 20, 2025Sep 20 comment_1025681 I see North Carolina is not in the list of providers yet. However, we stream everything now - no cable or satellite. I wish MeTV and WEST-TV would offer streaming options. Report
September 20, 2025Sep 20 comment_1025712 This is an offshoot channel from MeTV, which shows the full uncut episodes (all seasons too!), even though they do time-compress them a bit. At one point I checked the MeTV episodes against my DVDs and they show the entire episode but compress it to get about 2 more minutes of commercial time. It looks like TV Land is no longer showing Bonanza. I went to the TV Land site and it's a mess, but I found a readable multi-day schedule here: https://www.tvinsider.com/network/tv-land/schedule/ It looks like they are showing 5 Gunsmoke episodes in a row(!) but no Bonanza. I like Gunsmoke, but I can't imagine even the biggest fan will watch that many episodes in a row, and if you don't like Gunsmoke you won't even be turning on the channel in the afternoon. That doesn't sound like the smartest programming decision. Oh well, at least I have my DVDs! Report
September 21, 2025Sep 21 comment_1025737 @ellen I believe I came across some time compressed episodes on Youtube. Some distant riding scenes seemed to run faster. Like they speeded it up a smidge then went back to normal for the close ups. Report
