September 2025 is our 19th anniversary!!!    And we have lots of ways for you to celebrate with us this month.

 

For one thing, we have the VC Shindig.   What is that?

 

It's a month long celebration where we will post a variety of activities in a Brandaversary Discussion Thread . To get you started, you can mark your calendar:

 

Monday Munchies (September  1, 8, 15, 22, 29). Hop Sing wants to know who's eating between meals and what are they eating. Capture the screenshot in the Brandaversary Episode Discussion Subforums.

 

Traveling Tuesday (September 2, 9, 16, 23 ,and 30).   In the 14th season, the show moved to Tuesday nights. Pick one of the episodes from Season 14 and create a crossword, word search or other puzzle and post it in the Casino.

And/or capture a scene of any Cartwright traveling ... a cross the dance floor, the desert, down a moutain, in a stagecoach, on a train, in a buggy ... and post it in the Brandaversary Episode Discussion subforum.

 

Wounded Wednesday (September 3, 10, 17, 24).  Capture a scene of a Cartwright being carried and either post it in the thread for the day in the Brandaversary Episode Discussion subforum or make a jigsaw puzzle of it. 

 

Thirsty Thursday (September 4, 11, 18, 25).  Capture a scene of a Cartwright drinking ... anything and post it in the Brandaversery Episode Discussion subforums.

 

Friday Fires (September 5, 12, 19, 26). Capture a scene of a Cartwright building or stoking a fire, cooking over one, eating at one, or contemplating in front of one... and post the screenshot in the Brandaversary Episode Discussion subforum.

 

Did you know that Brand was the only BONANZA site that allowed R-rate stories? In honor of that history, we are bringing back the R-Rated Literary Challenge:   The Soiled Dove Society* makes its return and Saucy Sally who just turned 19 is ready to party ... but with which Cartwright and what are they going to do or where are they going to go? 

 

Your challenge is to write an R-rated story and post it either in the R-Rated Subforum or in the Library using the M/Aged restricted rating. Don't want your spouse, parents, siblings, children to know?  If you would prefer to post anonymously, you can upload a draft and let BWF or Cheaux know you have done so and they will change the author name to "Eros". Voila!  Your modesty has been protected.

 

*The term “soiled dove” emerged in the late 19th Century as a poetic euphemism for women who worked in saloons, dance halls, or brothels. Though often marginalized, these women were integral to the social fabric of the frontier towns and burgeoning cities of the West.
