I so want to attend.  But financially it is not possible this time.  I really enjoy all my Bonanza friends and will miss seeing them.  If I win the lottery, I will attend.  :)

If you win the lottery, can you swing by Texas and pick me up on your way to Tucson?

I have been invited to attend the inaugural TV West Fest in Tucson, Arizona, from March 16–19. I may also host a panel discussion. Mitch Vogel, Charlotte Stewart [“The Stalker”, 1969, “The Grand Swing,” 1971, and Miss Beadle on Little House on the Prairie], Michael Dante [“The Brass Box,” 1965], Robert Carradine [“A Home for Jamie,” 1971], and Michael McGreevey [“Gabrielle”, 1961] are part of the lineup. And Pernell’s pal Bo Svenson [one of the imposing Walking Tall protagonist’s formative roles was as a German outlaw in The Bravos TV western movie] will be there.

We’ll be taking a side trip 110 miles north to Lorne’s former home, the Ponderosa II, in Mesa. The current owners have graciously consented for the first time to allow fans to tour the famous residence — built from the same plans used to construct the ranch house in Nevada and the set on the Paramount and Warner Bros. soundstages — and Mitch is planning to go. I’m looking forward to meeting fans there as well.

Anyone here going?

As this population is aging out, it must be very hard to fill the roster for these venues.  And the fans are aging out too...

One notable person missing from the lineup is Don Collier, who used to live in Tucson. Somehow I missed his passing in 2021.   He, Pernell, James Coburn, and Earl Holliman (The Flannel Mouth Gun, season 6) were all born the same year, 1928.  EH is the only one left.

Iluvlittlejosbro and I arrived today as did Andy Klyde and a lot of the guest stars. Mitch was delayed due to bad weather. Darby Hinton is here. Conny is coming. Ginger Cook of course. I’ve heard the Lancer Girls will be here. Will have to wait until tomorrow night’s welcome party fiesta to see who else is here as there are several TV westerns featured.  Tomorrow day we are going to Lorne Greene’s Ponderosa II in Mesa.

Hope you all have a wonderful time, I'm so jealous.  I'm in London, so a bit far for me to come.

Adding to the list Clu Gulager (Sheriff Emmett Ryker on The Virginian),who passed a few months ago at age 93.  1928 was a very good year.

Wonderful Cowboy lunch at Ponderosa II.  Louise and Tom are here and introduced the new owners. They’ve made wonderful additions to the house and yard.

Mitch answered questions from guests.

Entertainment by a singing cowboy.  Lots of pictures a videos taken. Looking forward to more stories from Buck Montgomery on the way back to Tucson. He does a perfect Clint Eastwood impression and shared story on trip here of working with him when he (Buck) was a stuntman and also tidbits  on how Clint directs.

a few pics of iluvlittlejos and me.  more later as my battery is low.

we were informed that all of the guest stars have arrived safely and are awaiting our arrival so we can party at the fiesta tonight.
