I have been reading some fanfiction prequels and it made me wonder how often there is being spoken of the boys younger years in the episodes. I know that there are some references to the boys childhood like: The Wooing of Abigail Jones; Joe is telling that when he was younger he got in trouble at school. Adam or Pa went to school to straighten things out with miss Jones. All Ye His Saints: Joe tells Ben that when he was a kid he realised that all his friends had two parents and he had just one. In the episode Stallion, when Joe is taking his stallion up over the ridge, to get help for a boy who was shot, the music that's being played is similar, if not exact, to the theme for Little House On The Prairie. Since Mike borrowed certain episodes for Little House, I wonder if that theme song came from The Stallion.

When I saw Her Brother's Keeper a while back, I wondered why Ben wore an eye patch. Here's Why: Lorne Greene wears a patch on one eye for protection due to corneal abrasion when sand got into his eye and scratched the cornea. The writers wrote the injury into the script.

First off, thanks for the add. I've bee trying to find this episode for a while now and have had no luck at all, not to mention very limited facts on it. It was where an older gentleman that I believe was a friend of the Cartwrights who also had a son that I think was killed by Little Joe. In the episode Little Joe would go over to the man's ranch to help him out but little did he know he was digging his own tomb. Thank you to all, very much appreciated.
