I have been trying to find this series. It started and ended in the early 1970's. Griff is a retired police detective whose son has been recently murdered. His daughter-in-law is his assistant. Sound rather familiar? Maybe it was to similar to Barnaby Jones.

I watched Autumn Leaves last night. Nat King Cole sang the theme song-wonderful! Joan Crawford played Millie, a freelance typist. She meets a younger named Bert Hansen played by Cliff Robertson. He looked so young I barely recognized him. They fall in love. SPOILER ALERT: Lorne Greene is all of eight-and-a-half years older than Cliff Robertson, but plays Cliff Robertson's father. Lorne Greene's character Mr. Hansen is messing around with Bert's wife played by Vera Miles.

Was watching Forever Part 1. There are two scenes with Ben where he doesn't say a word but his expressions says it all. What fantastic acting!!!! (scene where Joe says I'm gonna marry that girl and the picnic scene which follows.)

Lorne Greene was in Earthquake, which was shown on Mothering Sunday in Britain. I wasn't going to watch it until his name came up and then I said "I'll have to watch it now."
