I’m back with another Candy POD! It’s been a while. 😁 Monday Candy announces he’s leaving. Noooo! This episode is already not off to a good start. Joe thinks it’s wild how Candy would pass up a hard ride back to the Ponderosa for a soft train and a bunch of other fancy living. “Hoss, how come we never ran away from home?” I bet your pa wonders the same thing sometimes, Joe. 😜😂 Their conversation ends abruptly by Hoss’s snoring. 😴

(Even though it always ended in tragedy.) 💘Joe challenges Candy to an arm wrestling competition and wants to get Candy to admit he's just better at it than him. Fat chance, Joe! 😆😆 Candy loses the competition due to being distracted by a beautiful young woman who just walked in. Joe and Candy buy the lady a meal after she passes out in the saloon and find out her name is Laura. Joe and Candy suggest to Laura that she stay at Mrs. O'Brien's Boarding House.

MondayI decided to bring back the Candy POD this week for one of my favorite Candy episodes, The Stalker. Candy shoots down and kills Jim Campbell in self defense who had just robbed a man in an alleyway. Candy is cleared of all charges when the killing is ruled as self defense since Jim was committing a crime. Candy feels remorse as he made Jim's wife, Lisa a widow. He apologizes to her, stating there isn't much he can say. Lisa responds, "You're right—it's not much." Candy tells Ben that he needs a few months off because there's something he has to do. Ben allows him to take the time off, but then reminds him that the court deemed him innocent and not to go off conv…

Monday I decided to do another Candy POD this week for the episode Dead Wrong; a comedy written and directed by Mike Landon. This is a Hoss and Candy episode, but the focus for this POD will be on Candy of course. 😁😄 Hoss and Candy arrive in the boring town of Sunville where an old man named Salty believes Hoss is an outlaw named Big Jack. Hoss and Candy get settled in the hotel and Hoss finds the clerk's behavior very strange. Candy says after what happened in the saloon, he's not surprised by anything that happens in that town.

Mrs. Wharton expresses her disappointment with Candy not stopping the robbers. Candy tells her getting himself killed is a little above his pay grade. Candy introduces Ben to Mrs. Wharton who thought Candy to be a "servant".

Since this week marks the 10th anniversary of David Canary's passing, I thought I would do another Candy POD. This week's theme will be Showdown at Tahoe.
