Hubby and I will be going out of town this weekend. One of his brothers is coming down Friday to pick us up and take us back with him. Their dad is in hospice. Doctors gave him 2 weeks to 2 months. They live in Massachusetts, on the border of Rhode Island. I'm not sure if I want to visit him because I want to remember my FIL as he was and not as he is. He has brain cancer and just turned 92 a few days ago. Before my birthday. So, he probably wouldn't remember me. Last year, for his birthday, I did an acrylic pour on a wooden cross for him. This year, on Dec 5th, hubby and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary. Not our wedding anniversary, but the day I moved to Pa to be with him. I was still married to my first husband when I made the move. I'm not going to explain why I left him. All I'm going to say about is that the last 2 1/2 - 3 years of that marriage came close to destroying what was left of me. To me, those last years of that marriage was hell for me. Even though it is still hot, you can feel the changes in the air and see a difference in the light. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year (maybe because my birthday is in the Fall)! September is very busy for me. It is sort of like there is this "memory" of school days and everything is getting active after a summer layover. My family's connection to this day is as follows: A couple weeks before 9/11 happened, my Uncle Bob died. He had Parkinson's. Then, a few days before that day, we buried him. He truly loved the Lord and wanted to be a minister. For some reason, he wasn't able to. I often wonder if he was called Home to help guide those poor souls Home. My Aunt Marion's birthday was 9/10. I received my new bank card yesterday and just received a message, via text, that my payment of $206 was received for a phone payment. Gave the last four digits of the card used. Not my card, but I checked my account anyway, just to verify that the money wasn't taken from the account. It wasn't which is a very big relief. I think that the mobile phone company either got one or two numbers wrong or they weren't given the correct number. Either way, sssssooooo glad that money wasn't taken from my bank account.

Someone out in Az tried using my bank card, for a $34.89 purchase this morning. I got a notification, via email, that it was denied. Why? Because of the settings I set up. I have it set up so that it can't be used out of state or out of the country. It's, also, turned off when it isn't needed. When the card is needed I'll turn it on, at least 10 minutes before it's used, wait at least half an hour to 45 minutes after we use it, and turn it off, again. I absolutely LOVE these restrictions that I can turn on and off, without contacting the bank to do it. We don't have any credit cards of any kind. We can use my card as either debit or credit. We always select credit.

As some of you know, I'm into acrylic pour painting. Those of you who aren't familiar with this, you can find tons of videos on YouTube. I found the perfect items to help me out at times, those medicine cups that come with the cough syrups. I use them to measure out the paints when I need half to an ounce of the colors I'm going to use and to hold the canvases up off the surface, so they won't stick to the surface as they dry. Anyway, a few months ago, I had about 10 of those cups. (I wipe them out when I'm done). I told hubby that I had enough and he could just throw them away. He still saved them.
