In Search of...

I don’t know if this is the spot to ask but I was rereading favorite Bonanza stories I’ve saved on the Fanfiction website and seem to remember on where they are trapped in their ranch house and Joe is in another bedroom being hurt and abused..that’s all I can remember and how Pa was hurting, because he couldn’t go help him. The way the author dealt with and wrote about the emotional aftermath pain and how Joe felt, was very good and well written and I’d love to read it again. Does this ring a bell anyone? Thank you!!

This is a story here in the Brand library that - if my memory serves - was during the timeline of the series, though probably early on as I remember Joe being seventeen or eighteen. The premise is that Marie didn't die as the result of a fall from her horse (anti-canon, in other words), but instead in a stagecoach crash. There is a major plot twist (I've edited out exactly what it is because I realized it's a spoiler). Ok, this is a question for the hivemind. I read a Bonanza fanfic many many years ago. We're talking I was still in school and using a library computer for internet years ago. I don't remember the website being as organized as this one is now, so it might have been a different platform. But I would really really like to read it again. Here is what I remember: Joe and Adam end up in a cabin. Might have been another family's cabin or a stopover for a stageline, but it was not a line shack. I have been searching for a story and can't find it. I want to add it to my Bonanza Stories folder on my home screen. I read it once and didn't think to save it or bookmark it. It's one of those where Joe lost his memory. But in this story, a journalist friend of Adam's sees him in a missionary for boys, recognizes him, and he's called Lad. After several years i've rediscovered Bonanza fan fiction and i'm hooked again...i've started to read some new fantastic storied and reread old ones but right now my brain is stuck with a particular one: it's a prequel and Little Joe get lost (i think in San Francisco) and Hop Sing find him (he doesn't work for the Cartwright's) I think they travel a bit and ended up in Virginia City. The other story mentions a killer who was killing boys Joe's age. A Pinkerton Detective named Dex saved LJ from getting murdered. I don't think it is posted in the library. Hello, I am looking for a story please to find - I was only reading it a few days ago but cannot remember the title or author. The only thing I have to go on - is a scene with a sick or injured Ben in bed - someone comes in to hurt Ben - and Joe is stabbed instead - and laying on the floor - Ben drags the unconscious Joe under the bed with him ??? Am trying to find a story which I read years ago. Joe has to kill a horse in order to save Ben and Hoss who are under the horse and hurt. Does anyone recall thus story? Another fanfic I am trying to find to reread is about Joe and Ben having an argument about horses in a corral during a storm and Ben shoots a horse thinking he is saving Joe. Somehow the story has Joe and Ben in court over this. Candy also appears in this fanfic. I would appreciate any help on these limited memories of these stories.

So I know it’s been a while since I’ve been here but, don’t worry, I haven’t given up on reading (or writing) bonanza fanfiction! I read a story several years ago where I believe Joe and Adam get caught in a flash flood. Adam ends up with a branch piercing his leg and it’s up to Joe to get him home. When they arrive, there’s no one at home. The brothers end up on the floor in front of the great room fireplace where Joe tries to take care of Adam’s wounds. I have been searching the Brand library but I can’t seem to find this story. I don’t remember the title or the author so I’d really appreciate it if someone can help me out here. Thanks!

Hi all, I'm looking for a story that was posted on Bonanzaworld. In this story Adam accidentally shoots Ben in the barn. He's torn up about it he leaves home, not for long just for the night. He does injure himself lightly. I turns out Ben wasn't seriously hurt though. I think Hoss finds him and brings him home. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Sabina

Hello. I look for a story that plays after Marie died. Ben went for a time away and left the ranch in Adams hands. After he returned it is difficult for Ben to see that Adam grew up during that. They have a verbal fight and Ben hits him. I think Roy or Paul was with them at the time and asks Ben something like Was that really necessary. I know its an older story and I have it somewhere, but I can't remember the title. Maybe someone remembers it. I looked in the Library, but I don't think it's here.

I was thinking of this story in response to stories that make you cry. Adam finally returns to VC and Joe meets him with the buckboard to drive him to the Ponderosa, and he has to inform Adam that Ben had passed away, and had been buried just a few days before. I remember reading this five or so years ago. I'm not sure which fanfiction site I found it. I can't remember any more of the story that might be able to help. Does anyone have an idea the title or author?

Does someone of you know the author named Vron. She had some pretty nice stories in Bonanza World. One of them is A Neighbourly Act. It´s a great story and it would be nice if it were in the Library.

Hello, I am searching for the title and the author of a story. Adam is in love with a woman and Ben is in love with the same woman. I just know that at the end Ben gets the woman because Adam doesn´t love her enough to be married an d he gives Ben his blessing. I am sure I read it on Brand.

Iam searching for two stories I read a couple of years ago and I would love to read them again. Unfortunately I can't find them. The first one is about Adam and Joe. They were having a falling-out. While Adam is cleaning his gun, it accidentally goes off. The bullet hits Joe. The second one is about Joe and Cochise. Joe is riding Cochise al little reckless. can't remember title or author, and don't remember what site I read it on years back. I do know I didn't find Bonanza FF until after the demise of BW, so I know it wasn't there. Joe is released (pardoned) from Prison, arriving home when Ben, Adam, and Hoss. They arrive later that night to find him asleep on the settee. While in prison, something happened and his leg was injured and didn't heal properly. I know it's not pjb's Prisoner and I know it's not slaine89's The Prodigal.

Hello, I hope you can help me. It's a comedy. Ben wants to see Adam married, so he wants to arrange a wedding. Of course Adam isn't agree with the little arrangement. When the guests arrive on the Ponderosa, Adam tries to convince the father of "the future bride" that Ben is crazy, and, there were others mad in Ben's family. Impossible to remember the author of this funny story. Plus I wonder if I read it on the Brand, or in BW library. Thank you.:)

Does anyone remember a R rated story about Laura White from "The Storm" where she and Joe are spending the night together,but it ends up being a dream? I could have swore I read it somewhere here on Brand. Pat says she remembers it, but not who wrote it or the title.

Ok i'm a little bit late but i've discovered that the archive has moved....ok i'm looking for a story ( in the old archive i've put under my favourite) and i simply can't remember the title..Joe is kidnapped by bandits and then spent several years with indians ( not a happy experience) he's found by adam when he's 12/13 years old...i tried to look in the alternate universe page but i didn't find. Hi guys, Once again I'm looking for a story I think I read it ages ago in the old site Bonanza World. What I remember is that Joe somehow finds himself trapped beneath a tree and hurt. I think it was in winter. Also I remember either a wolf or a dog that ends up saving Joe. Would anyone know of it? I have been looking for it everywhere. I'd be so happy to find it. Thank you.
